The Energy Marketing Conference for Retailers Roundup: Challenges, Opportunities and Big Winners

Fast-paced, ever-changing marketplace creates demand for utility companies to constantly grow more competitive and seek solutions to help retain and engage customer base

Due to a faster changing marketplace, utility companies are constantly seeking ways to be more competitive and engage their customer base – something digital rewards do best! Therefore, we were excited to share our virtual incentive solutions with attendees of The Energy Marketing Conference for Retailers last week in Houston, Texas. As the exclusive incentives and rewards company in attendance, Virtual Incentives’ representatives were busy answering questions and presenting solutions to attending Retail Energy Providers as well as exhibitors. Those we spoke with wanted to learn how developing a comprehensive rewards strategy can attract customers, affect their behavior and gain a leg up on the competition. For example, by utilizing a digital rewards API, companies can quickly and seamlessly integrate incentives with a technology-forward, instant delivery platform – meeting customers when and where they want. We also had the opportunity to provide attendees with some fun chances to win and experience a Virtual Incentives’ reward firsthand. Specifically, all in attendance were able to participate in our in-show lunch and post-show survey drawings. Congratulations to Kevin Sangudi of Titan Gas & Power (winner of the in-show lunch drawing and a $150 GiftCard PASS) and Alma Gonzalez of Spark Energy (winner of the post-show survey drawing and a $250 GiftCard PASS)! During The Energy Marketing Conference for Retailers, awards are presented to standouts in the utility industry. We congratulate the following winners on being recognized as leaders in their industry: • 2015 REP of the Year Award winner: Nathan Kroeker, CEO, Spark Energy • Most Innovative Marketer of the Year Award winner: Daniel Alper, CEO, Major Energy When attending an industry event, we always hope to learn as well as inform. The Energy Marketing Conference for Retailers did not disappoint. We were pleased to converse with and learn from numerous industry influencers about the challenges they face, the opportunities within their space and how our solutions can help.
