Las Vegas, NV – Virtual Incentives, an industry pioneer in digital reward fulfillment for leading global brands, instantly distributed $20,000 in prize money to the Visa Developer Challenge winners at the Money20/20 Hackathon in October. This is the second year in a row that Virtual Incentives was invited to participate in what is now one of the leading fintech hackathons in the world.
The Money20/20 Hackathon is a premier event for developers, designers and entrepreneurs from all over the world to showcase their skills and vision. Visa was a sponsor of the 24-hour hackathon, awarding a prize that included $20,000 to one winning team. Virtual Incentives worked with Marqeta, a payment innovation platform, and Visa to fulfill the need for digital rewards for the winners.

During the event, 95 teams competed to create experiences that could expand commerce in new ways. The Silver Logic, creators of Omnipark an augmented reality parking app, was the winning team of the Visa Challenge, who received a $20,000 prize, and additional prizes.
Judges for this year’s Hackathon included leaders at high tech financial companies from around the world. The Hackathon was held in Las Vegas the weekend leading up to the Money 20/20 show.
